Held in the sprawling Cuyahoga Valley National Park, within easy driving distance of Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Buffalo, and Chicago.  The park gives participants exceptional access to hiking trails and woods, open spaces for relaxation, and an abundance of fresh air.  Both the Akron-Canton and Cleveland airports are an easy 30 minute drive away.  Should you be arriving by air, our best efforts will be made to help you coordinate airport rides.

The pace of the retreat is one that blends guided creative activity, quiet reflection, social interaction, preparation and sharing of meals, and unstructured time.  The schedule is designed so each participant can fully experience a slowing down of every day life.  There is ample opportunity to connect with others, as well as time for yourself.  The retreat begins Friday evening with check-in between 5:00 and 6:00 pm and continues through Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm.

Participants stay in a beautifully restored historic home.  Rooms vary in size and sleep 2-5, though we limit participation so that most rooms will house 2 or 3 women. When registering you can indicate if you have a preference of roommate(s).  Linens, pillows, and towels are provided.

Nutritious and hearty food is provided throughout the weekend. The house includes a large commercial kitchen which allows us to share in the preparation of meals generous in the bounty of late fall.  Each participant contributes food in some way, whether it is a dessert, snack, beverage or item used for a main course. Participants indicate preference for food contribution when registering, as well as any specific dietary needs.

The registration fee is $225 per participant.  The location and lodging have been chosen for its beauty and comfort, but also for its affordability, making the retreat accessible to a diverse community of creative women.

Payment can be made by check or online.

Additional Night
An additional night is offered for women interested in arriving early, after 3:00 pm on Thursday.  There is an extra modest cost to do so.
